About

The Oconomowoc Community Choir has been sharing the love of music in the Lake Country area for over 25 years. As a non-auditioned choir, we form a welcoming group of 50-75 talented and enthusiastic (usually both at the same time!) singers. Our members’ ages range from middle school students to seniors.

When Does the Choir Perform:

The OCC schedule runs in three individual sessions.

We begin each year with our Fall/Christmas Session, with a blend of traditional and new Christmas/Winter music. During the holiday season, the OCC spreads seasonal joy throughout the community by performing at senior care centers in the Lake Country area.

Our Spring Session features a concert of traditional choral anthems, sacred, and secular selections.

Our Summer Session ends with a concert featuring lighter selections ranging from Broadway to movie and pop culture favorites. The highlight of our summer concert are the dazzling performances by our talented young scholarship winners.

Scholarship Program

The Oconomowoc Community Choir became a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in 1996, when we began awarding scholarships to deserving young musicians pursuing a musical education. It is our privilege to support these fine young people as they pursue their musical goals.

The majority of our scholarship fund money comes from local businesses, professionals, and generous individuals. Concert proceeds make up the rest. In recent years, the OCC has awarded over $3000 in scholarship donations annually.
