Our Artistic Director – Tracy Garon

Ms. Tracy Garon is thrilled to serve as our Oconomowoc Community Choir Artistic Director.
Tracy Garon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wisconsin Lutheran College, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with an Athletic Coaching Minor, and was the 2009 Golden Lyre Recipient for the WLC Music Department. Garon completed her Masters of Education with an Adaptive Education License at Carroll University in 2016, where she completed a quantitative study titled “Interactive Social Stories: A Special Needs Classroom Intervention.”
Currently, Tracy serves as choral director and tech coach at Nature Hill Intermediate School in Oconomowoc, while also enjoying musical theater collaborations including working with the Oconomowoc High School Pit Orchestra, Bombshell Theater Company as Vocal Director, and is involved in various Lake Country Playhouse productions in Hartland. As collaborative pianist and conductor, Tracy has been a part of over 30 musical productions, with favorites including Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, Anything Goes, Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard, West Side Story, and White Christmas, and most recently served as Music Director for Jekyll & Hyde, as well as her notable work as Music Director & Pit Conductor/Pianist of the US Midwest Premiere of The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Webborn and Finn.
As an educator, Tracy has had multiple students selected to participate various honor choirs throughout the region including Children’s and Middle Level Honors for the Wisconsin Choral Director Association and Wisconsin School Music Association, as well as Middle Level Regional and National Honor Choirs for the American Choral Director’s Association, and recently was the 2023 Lake Moraine 8th Grade Honor Choir Conductor, debuting her arrangement of “Sing for Myself.” Tracy also annually serves as an accompanist for WCDA’s Singing in Wisconsin Festival. Garon has been nominated and received the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs “Apple for the Teacher” Award in 2005 and 2011, respectively.
Tracy resides in Oconomowoc, and is an avid runner, hiker, reader, and coffee drinker, and enjoys traveling throughout the United States.
Our Collaborative Pianist – Tammy Tissicino
Tammy has been accompanying the OCC for several years now and enjoys every minute of it! Working with Tracy and the OCC Choir Family is a highlight of each week! Tammy enjoys accompanying students at WSMA events, auditions and recitals. She plays for church services at Spring Creek Church, an occasional musical and school choir concerts. When not accompanying Tammy teaches piano lessons, dabbles in crocheting, and loves to read.
