February Updates: Memorial Day Planning & More!

Greetings Everyone –

What a fantastic rehearsal this past Monday! Thanks everyone for your dedication through the beast of Baba Yetu and beyond! Everything is coming together already and it’s going to be amazing to hear and feel it all and know it’s impact.

A few announcements for planning and beyond:

1) Our March 3rd Rehearsal is at Bethlehem Lutheran Church –

470 N Oak Crest Drive in Wales – as a prep for our Sacred Concert. If you are not performing in the sacred concert, then you have the night off as we have balance and sound planning and logistics. Start Time: 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM

2) Sacred Solo/Group Rehearsals – see attached doc and sign-up for the next two weeks to work on various solos, etc for the sacred concert. Note that I have more time now that Matilda is done, if you would want to meet at my school, Nature Hill Intermediate in Oconomowoc – text me and we can work something out after 3 PM on various days.

3) Memorial Day Planning for the Service and Brewers Game + Official Ticket Commitment – THIS FORM IS DUE BY SATURDAY,FEBRUARY 15TH AT THE END OF DAY for Brewers Lottery Planning – Bradley Wooten is handling the process of the Lottery Choosing Names. Options for all types of commitments located on the form.

Spring Session Updates – January

Thank you so much for joining our OCC Spring Session – so many amazing things happening this session, and the testimonials as a part of Kevin’s video are a big reason that show our why – thank you for taking part in our first rehearsal

Next up – all the things and excitement with (1) A Sacred Concert Option for March, (2a) Our WORLD PREMIERE of Where the Water Meets the Sky by Steph Seefeldt in honor of our Oconomowoc Sesquicentennial; (2b) Our world premiere of the piece working together with artistry by Anjl Rodee, which will roll as a video at our May 4th; (3) Opportunity to sing at the Milwaukee Brewers Memorial Day Game; (4) Partnership with Old Falls Village and their USO Show in June –

An email with specifics about those who had indicated their Brewers Ticket Lottery Interest will be shared on February 10th with all for next steps on all of it!

Truly going to be an amazing spring of music making as a choir family!

January 27th – Soprano & Alto Sectional 6:45 – 8:30 PM;

February 3rd – Tenor & Bass Sectional 6:45 – 8:30 PM

February 10th – Full Ensemble Spring Rehearsal beginning at 7:00 PM (we have an OCC Board Meeting before that).
